Concert at Blofield
3.00pmOn Sunday afternoon, September 28th, 3 p.m.,St Gregory’s Orchestra is at Blofield Church, a charming medieval church located by the A47 going towards Acle.The Marriage of Figaro Overture, music from The Magic Flute and the Haffner Symphony, No 35, make up the Mozart items of the concert. But the highlight will probably prove to be a Flute Fantasia by George Hue performed by Scarlett Askew-Gale,Tickets are £10, which includes a generous interval refreshment. -

Ukraine Concert
11.00amSalvation Army Citadel, in St. Giles Street, Norwich
Sadly, the war in Ukraine drags on, and on Saturday morning of October 18th, 11 a.m., we are presenting a fund-raising, all Mozart, concert at the Salvation Army Citadel, in St. Giles Street, Norwich, (opposite the Multi-storey car-park). We start with “Dona Nobis Pacem”, then continue with the Don Giovanni Overture, the Piano Concerto No 21, second movement, soloist Bernard Soper,Ill-Wind by Flanders and Swan, an adaptation of a Rondo from Mozart’s Horn Concerto with soloist Steve Holmes, and finally Symphony No 40. Wonderful music.Free admission, but retiring collection, cash only, to support Ukraine, specifically via consignments of aid delivered by Scott Stones of Swaffham who will speak at the close of the concert. -
