Ukraine Concert
11.00amSalvation Army Citadel, in St. Giles Street, Norwich
Sadly, the war in Ukraine drags on, and on Saturday morning of October 18th, 11 a.m., we are presenting a fund-raising, all Mozart, concert at the Salvation Army Citadel, in St. Giles Street, Norwich, (opposite the Multi-storey car-park).
We start with “Dona Nobis Pacem”, then continue with the Don Giovanni Overture, the Piano Concerto No 21, second movement, soloist Bernard Soper,Ill-Wind by Flanders and Swan, an adaptation of a Rondo from Mozart’s Horn Concerto with soloist Steve Holmes, and finally Symphony No 40. Wonderful music.Free admission, but retiring collection, cash only, to support Ukraine, specifically via consignments of aid delivered by Scott Stones of Swaffham who will speak at the close of the concert. -
